Favorite Memories (in no particular order at all!)

-Watching the sunset over Lake Michigan with a bonfire and perfect weather and happy kids playing in the sand. It literally just felt like a dreamy paradise for 2 hours.

-Watching the lightning show out on the screened in porch in the house we rented in Whitehall, MI. Constant flickering of lightning bolts in every direction, hardly any thunder, and it was just stunning!

-Hiking in the woods in Wimberly, when our kids just started singing and playing spontaneously. Also, having bonfires and siting in the hot tub in Wimberly was fantastic too!

-Watching Violet and Ezra love love love the new trampoline we bought for Violet’s 4th birthday.  Her birthday party itself was fun, and Ezra eating dozens of dum dum lollipops was another highlight.

-Driving by our new Wavecrest house, on our way back from the Banks house, as just a thing to do when Ezra had a stomach bug and we couldn’t get out of the house. Driving by and seeing the “Coming Soon” sign in the yard, and feeling captivated by the house and the location and the backyard and the front porch and the realization that it was on our friends’ same street and feeling so in awe!

-Painting the walls of our new house with my Dad! He was so kind and helpful and hardworking as he worked to help us paint almost the entire first floor. It looks incredible and we are so thankful for the fun memories we have of painting it with him!

-Having our first Christmas in our new house. The kids loved their gifts (robot kitty and batman legos, and many more) and we loved our new place. It was 70 degrees on Christmas day and we enjoyed a fun family jog to the new school playground.

-Flying to DC with the kids by myself and enjoying such fun in Corynne’s apartment with Gigi, Kevin, Myles, Sam and Grammy and PopPop! The zoo was a highlight, as was the Mexican restaurant we all ate in, and the splash pad we visited. It was extra special to take the kids to the carousel on the mall and have them enjoy that as much as we did. Playing Settlers of Catan in Corynne’s apartment lobby was also fun!

-Spending quality time with my Dad and my Nana in Greensboro, NC with the kids! Violet and Ezra loved Papa’s new house, and they especially enjoyed the nearby nature center/aquarium, the beautiful parks and hikes htat we took, and lots of fun playing with Nana and also with Maya.  Taking Violet to get her very first pedicure at a salon with her Nana (Great Grandmother) at the same time was a special memory for sure.

-Spending lots of quality time with family in Detroit in Michigan, and seeing the city and my Mom’s new house!
